The Czech & Slovak National House restaurant — No Comments

  1. I don't think we expected great food But I think we expected all the food to be edible. Comfort food was what we had in mind. Was still an enjoyable evening – went for the experience not for Michelin-starred cuisine

  2. In the 1980s, when I first lived in West Hampstead, I lived in Sherriff Road, the house was owned by a Czech refugee, and when her son came over from the States they used to go there….but he said it wasn't much good! I have never been there, as they do seem to concentrate rather on meat.

  3. Myself and my Polish partner has been there many times over the years and had really good food. Its very much a hearty winter menu. Excellent steam dumplings with boar goulash, roasted pork joints and great chicken soup. Give it a try..
