Hidden Treasure – so is it? — 8 Comments

  1. That cake thing at the end was delicious – I like a nice thick biscuit base on things like that. Disappoints me, for example, if I order cheesecake and it's totally unsubstantial. There again I am amazingly greedy.

  2. Bland, faceless, character-free. None of these are descriptions you could apply to Hidden Treasure. The plates are as big as the personalities, and the service is as individual as the style. Those on a diet should steer clear, but anyone who enjoys big flavours and generous portions should go hungry and leave happy.

  3. Does “anonymous” work at Hidden Treasure by any chance, or am i just being extra cynical today? That said, I love Hidden Treasure – I went with my sister a couple of months ago and had a great meal. I had a really good seafood linguine of some description, and enviously watched my sister who chose a delicately flavoured crab ravioli. Both were very well seasoned, and allowed the flavours of the seafood to come through without being bland – not always easy with crab especially. Very generous portions, and helpful staff who recommended both dishes and wines when asked for their advice. Will definitely go back.
