Spot a celeb? Think before you tweet — 9 Comments

  1. I lived next door to Robert Webb so saw him all the time, yet never tweeted about it. Man has a right to go about his business undisturbed.

  2. The mistake was, tweeting *at* Webb as well as *to* the tweeter’s followers. The subconscious need to feel part of, or somehow connected with, an idol. But is this really such a crime? Webb’s sarcastic reaction appears needlessly arrogant and unpleasant. He accuses the tweeter of ‘weird behaviour’ whilst knowing very well it was just an over-enthusiastic tweet from a fan. Yes, he’s entitled to privacy, but equally he should grow up and practice humility.

  3. @Tom Alternatively, Mr Webb might have been asking to him to genuinely come over and talk to him like a real human being. Have you not seen any of his work? He has an odd sense of humour!
