The future of the Kilburn High Road — 3 Comments

  1. Town manager? But we had a town manager a while ago. What happened to her? Obviously she was a waste of money. Kilbur High Road is so tatty and getting worse. All kebab and chicken takeaways and fruit and veg shops. Aldi is a big disappointment. Cheapo junk food market. The whole market area needs to be demolished and something nice done with the site. The Black Lion should close down it’s silly restaurant and open up the place to live music like it had 15 years ago. Those were the days! The Tricycle should rip out Nick Kents zinc bar and put in a proper eatery and bar with comfortable seating.

  2. It's so depressing and shabby. Twenty odd years ago we had some useful shops, and great live music places.
Both councils have been useless in monitering the cleanliness and look of the place. Clean it up and encourage decent eateries, good independent shops and arts venues. It looks like a hostel for the world's poor.

  3. The problem of KHR is the council – particularly Brent choosing this area as a dumping ground for the poor and crazy. The solution is a take over by the middle classes. This is entirely plausible given the complete gentrification of the areas south and north of the road. It's amazing that such a meeting – which sounds utterly pointless can not discuss the real facts.
